Support and documentation are very important for any product to be effective. Being able to provide great support and provide excellent documentation is vital. OptimizePress provides both. Fortunately, the information in the Support area is well-stocked, and the tutorials are clear and concise. Many tutorials provide helpful examples. While some plugins are still in development, there are lots of great features in OptimizePress. Many of these are still ‘Coming Soon’ even after so many years of development, but most of them are already available.
We haven’t spoken to the support team but it appears that there is a good deal of support available if you have any issues.
New dashboard for OptimizePress 3.0.
New to OptimizePress 3.0 is the ability to add custom widgets to the top of your pages.
In the Dashboard you will need to manage your sites and create new pages. This is the place where you can control how you configure OptimizePress 3.0, such as installing extensions, setting up email providers, adding scripts etc.
This section looks simple, but it really isn’t that simple. It’s a place where you can access all the features that OptimizePress has to offer and make sure that you are doing the right thing. It’s clean and easy to use and should make managing OptimizePress much simpler than ever.
{Lightning is a powerful, incredibly powerful tool that allows you to quickly build beautiful web pages with the help of Lightning.}
Lightning Builder is a new feature that allows you to create beautiful, interactive pages. It allows you to build a dynamic webpage in just a few clicks and add dynamic elements to it.
Lightning Builder is a new page builder that builds on the powerful Live Editor and takes it a step further. You can start a new page from scratch by dragging and dropping elements from the OptimizePress theme library or use one of the many WordPress themes that have been added. You can also take one of the many existing WordPress themes and adjust them within the page builder.
There is a new Quick Access panel which can be accessed by clicking the top of any of the pages in your site. You can then easily access pages and other features such as content management, design tools and more. It makes creating pages much easier and should make them load faster too. Add an element to a page by selecting the option that appears at the top of the screen and placing it in the correct place on the page. Once that is done, click the button to add it to the page. Then save the changes.
New system for delivering templates automatically.
The new OptimizePress theme provides more options for designing pages and a new delivery system for those who want to have them delivered automatically to their sites. Previously, to use a specific template, you would have to download it from one of the developer’s servers. Now the template is hosted on AWS. {You could also now find them by searching through the latest posts, blogs or other websites and finding them on a service such as AWS.}Can I Have Widgets In Optimizepress 2 Pages
This means that you no longer need to wait for a particular template to be downloaded, it actually speeds up the process considerably.
It’s possible that you only download one or two templates at first and then never do it again. We think that this is a good step because it shows that the developers are thinking long-term, not adding new features to make the product look better.
{It takes a while for the pages to load but now they load very quickly.}
Pages should load faster when you upgrade to OptimizePress 3.0. If you build a new page using the new page builder you should notice a big difference.
We tried to make pages that compare two different OptimizePress themes and they both showed that OptimizePress 3.0 performed better.
We haven’t had the opportunity to measure this scientifically, but we do feel like pages load faster in OptimizePress 3.0. When a visitor checks out a page it looks and feels faster, and as this is what most people use to tell us how much faster it is, we should be happy.
{OptimizePress 3.0 has a lot more features than OptimizePress 2.0, but there are a lot more benefits.}
There are pros and cons to using OptimizePress, as with any other product. How compelling or distracting the options are is completely dependent on what you want to achieve with them.Can I Have Widgets In Optimizepress 2 Pages
Pros
- Among the many positive things that we found about OptimizePress are:
- Price – It is one of the cheapest WordPress sales pages builders that allows you to set up as many as 100+ different types of landing pages as you wish. There is no other product that comes close to OptimizePress in terms of features, quality of design or number of templates it comes with.
- Free templates are excellent, and there are lots of them. Also, the premium templates are very good. Each design looks good on any top tier website and works seamlessly.
- If you know how to use WordPress, you can have your site up and running in minutes and publishing pages in as little as an hour. Once you understand how it all works, the time to go live on your site is reduced dramatically.
- Plays nicely with other plugins – Not just email or membership plugins, but many other plugins that many website owners use on their sites. I tested with some other SEO, Cache, Optimization, Translation, and CRON plugins and did not see a single issue. What this means is that not every plugin will work, but I haven’t found one that doesn’t work.
- Page loading speeds for WordPress 3 were noticeably improved when using OptimizePress 3.0. It is clearly noticeable on many different devices and is a significant benefit.
Cons
- When things are good, there is always room for improvement. {It’s good to think that there are better products, and this one is no different.}
- Even after a few updates to OptimizePress 2.0, the design is beginning to look dated. {Even if you use OptimizePress 2.0, the layout still looks very dated. I wonder if the developer will even try to change the design as it has looked pretty much the same for ages.}
- It really is amazing how well OptimizePress is built, but there are many other WordPress products that do more for people than this one does. Because it works with the latest WordPress versions, it is always up to date, but it doesn’t always feel like that.
- Support seems to be slow – I am lucky enough not to be able to access live support, but many others have commented that the support response time is very slow. It can take a while for support to become aware of a fault with the plugin and fix it. Seems that both the support team and general customer service are limited. If something happens and the knowledgebase doesn’t help you, you may be stuck with a limited amount of options, which is awful if you’re working to a deadline.
- Live Editor saves files in a non-standard format, which can cause some plugins to not work properly. It means that if you remove the plugin, there is a chance that your website will no longer work if you remove the plugin. {If you know this in advance, it will not affect your site, but if you don’t know this, it could cause problems.}
{OptimizePress Prices}
We always look at price/value and the different tiers of pricing that you can get for your money. Then we look at whether or not the product is really good value.
Pricing is one of the main strengths of OptimizePress, and they have quite reasonable plans.
It costs less than many of its competitors and is more expensive than some other plugins. It offers some good value considering how many features it has, and it is reasonably priced.
There are three tiers for OptimizePress: core, publisher, and pro. Each tier in OptimizePress costs a bit more, but they all build on the other and increase in price. It’s a one-time fee that lets you create unlimited pages and get unlimited support and updates. It costs one time, but if you need to update it every year, the cost should be reduced per year.
What should you think about buying OptimizePress? Can I Have Widgets In Optimizepress 2 Pages
Conclusions
Now to the question that will make you a million dollars, or ninety-nine dollars in total. There are many reasons to buy OptimizePress. We will try to explain why we think it is worth the cost.
I’m not going to tell you what to do, but if I was a marketer who wanted to quickly create landing pages that would allow me to build a membership site, collect and share email addresses with my mail plugin and work on mobile, I would buy OptimizePress.
If I just wanted to create a simple membership site for my existing clients and I wasn’t confident in my funnel creation skills, I probably wouldn’t buy this plugin. There are plenty of other great options, such as memberpress and Restrict Content Pro.
Several of the functions in OptimizePress are specifically built around the needs of marketing professionals. Whether you are a marketer or a site owner who is just trying to improve your marketing, OptimizePress delivers.
If you aren’t going in that direction, I would go with another plugin.
It isn’t the newest, it isn’t the most powerful and it doesn’t look very nice on the back end. Some of the usability issues are a little suspect, but if you pay just $99 for a whole year of premium support, I don’t think you’ll have any issues with the plugin.
