You can start a new page from scratch by dragging and dropping elements from the OptimizePress theme library or use one of the many WordPress themes that have been added. You can also take one of the many existing WordPress themes and adjust them within the page builder.

The new quick access panel that runs across the top of the screen allows you to quickly access all of the features that you need, such as customizing your themes or adding in widgets to your pages. The new themes are easy to customize and deliver to your site via a new network of template providers. Previously you would have to download a template from the site developer. This is a small improvement but it’s very useful as you may only download one or two templates and then never use them again. We think that this is a good step because it shows that the developers are thinking long-term, not adding new features to make the product look better.

Pages should load faster when you upgrade to OptimizePress 3.0. If you build a new page using the new page builder you should notice a big difference.

We tried to make pages that compare two different OptimizePress themes and they both showed that OptimizePress 3.0 performed better.

We haven’t had the opportunity to measure this scientifically, but we do feel like pages load faster in OptimizePress 3.0. We think the visitors to our site will appreciate the new features, which is great.

Pros

Among the many positive things that we found about OptimizePress are:
It is extremely cheap compared to other similar products and you get so many features for so little money. There are no other products that can compete with OptimizePress in terms of features, quality of design or template selection.
Free templates are excellent and there are many good ones too. Also, the premium templates are very good. Each design is worthy of a top tier website and works seamlessly.
If you know how to use WordPress, you can have your site up and running in minutes and publishing pages in as little as an hour. When you become familiar with how it works, the time it takes to go live on a site will shrink dramatically.
Plays nicely with many other WordPress plugins – Not just email or membership plugins, but lots of other plugins that many website owners use on their sites. I tested several SEO, Cache, Optimization, Translation, and CRON plugins and did not find a single problem. What this means is that not every plugin will work, but I haven’t found one that doesn’t work.
Page loading speeds for WordPress 3 were noticeably improved when using OptimizePress 3.0. It is clearly noticeable on many different devices and is a significant benefit.

Cons

When things are good, there is always room for improvement. {It’s good to think that there are better products, and this one is no different.}
Even with the recent overhaul of OptimizePress 2.0, the design is looking a little tired. {Even if you use OptimizePress 2.0, the layout still looks very dated. I wonder if the developer will even try to change the design as it has looked pretty much the same for ages.}
People really like OptimizePress, but the competition seems to be catching up and perhaps even overtaking it. Because it works with the latest WordPress versions, it is always up to date, but it doesn’t always feel like that.
Support seems to be slow – I am lucky enough not to be able to access live support, but many others have commented that the support response time is very slow. It can take a while for support to become aware of a fault with the plugin and fix it. Seems that both the support team and general customer service are limited. If something happens and the knowledgebase doesn’t help you, you may be stuck with a limited amount of options, which is awful if you’re working to a deadline.
Live Editor saves your files in a different format from what is used by most plugins, so some plugins may not be compatible with Live Editor. It means that if you remove the plugin, there is a chance that your website will no longer work if you remove the plugin. {If you know this in advance, it will not affect your site, but if you don’t know this, it could cause problems.}

We always look at price/value and the different tiers of pricing that you can get for your money. Then we look at whether or not the product is really good value.

Pricing is a real strength of OptimizePress and it works well for many people.

It is cheaper than many other plugins on the market, but it is more expensive than others. It is really good value for money for the amount of features it gives you.

There are four pricing options for OptimizePress: Core, Publisher, and Pro. Each tier in OptimizePress costs a bit more, but they all build on the other and increase in price. It’s a one-time fee that lets you create unlimited pages and get unlimited support and updates. It costs one time, but if you need to update it every year, the cost should be reduced per year.

Now to the question that will make you a million dollars, or ninety-nine dollars in total. What Should You Buy With OptimizePress?

I’m not going to tell you what to do, but if I was a marketer who wanted to quickly create landing pages that would allow me to build a membership site, collect and share email addresses with my mail plugin and work on mobile, I would buy OptimizePress.

I’d probably not recommend buying this plugin if I was wanting to create a basic membership site or if I didn’t think it was necessary to use other plugins (like Memberpress or Restrict Content Pro).

OptimizePress is a very strong plugin that is designed to help marketers with their websites. Many of its features are specifically designed to help marketers succeed. Whether you are a marketer or a site owner who is just trying to improve your marketing, OptimizePress delivers.

If you aren’t moving in that direction, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
