There are 60 great templates included in OptimizePress and a further 280 are available for premium users.

Some of the templates use the Live Editor, which enables you to easily build sales pages quickly. There are lots of landing pages that are optimized for people to lead and get sales.

The design and build quality of these templates really is a strong point of this plugin and it’s a really strong reason to buy it. If you like the way a particular page looks, you can slide in any page template and have it up and running in no time.

There are over 40 custom elements in OptimizePress that you can use to build your own landing pages. Responsive design is something that should not be undervalued. It’s a core feature of OptimizePress.

Pages load quickly and seamlessly across all devices and screen sizes. The included templates work well and are fully responsive, so they look great even when viewed on a tiny screen.

Documentation

Support and knowledge of your product is vital. If you purchase a good product, that product should also provide you with excellent support. Being able to provide great support and provide excellent documentation is vital. OptimizePress provides both. The Knowledgebase is very useful and the help files are well-written. Many of the instructions contain useful images to help you understand the features. While some plugins are still in development, there are lots of great features in OptimizePress. Many of these are still ‘Coming Soon’ even after so many years of development, but most of them are already available.

We haven’t spoken to the support team but it appears that there is a good deal of support available if you have any issues.

There are new features that are really important to new users, such as the ability to quickly create new sites and create pages. It lets you manage all the things that you can do with OptimizePress 3.0 like add custom pages, add email templates, install plugins and do a lot more.

This section looks simple, but it really isn’t that simple. It’s a place where you can access all the features that OptimizePress has to offer and make sure that you are doing the right thing. It’s clean and easy to use and should make managing OptimizePress much simpler than ever.

Lightning Builder is a new page builder that builds on the powerful Live Editor and takes it a step further. You can start a new page from scratch by dragging and dropping elements from the OptimizePress theme library or use one of the many WordPress themes that have been added. You can also take one of the many existing WordPress themes and adjust them within the page builder.

The new quick access panel that runs across the top of the screen allows you to quickly access all of the features that you need, such as customizing your themes or adding in widgets to your pages. This makes creating pages very straightforward and should help you to work more efficiently too. Add an element to a page by selecting the option that appears at the top of the screen and placing it in the correct place on the page. Once that is done, click the button to add it to the page. Then save the changes.

New, easier way to create and distribute templates.

The new OptimizePress theme provides more options for designing pages and a new delivery system for those who want to have them delivered automatically to their sites. Previously you would have to download a template from the site developer. This greatly speeds up the process of downloading templates.

This is a small improvement but it’s very useful as you may only download one or two templates and then never use them again. We think that this is a good step because it shows that the developers are thinking long-term, not adding new features to make the product look better.

Pages will load quicker when you upgrade to OptimizePress 3.0. If you create a new page using the new plugin, you should see a big difference in the speed of your page.

We tried to make pages that compare two different OptimizePress themes and they both showed that OptimizePress 3.0 performed better.

We haven’t had the chance to test this scientifically, but it seems like the pages are loading quicker. We think the visitors to our site will appreciate the new features, which is great.

Pros

  • Among the many positive things that we found about OptimizePress are:
  • Price – It is one of the cheapest WordPress sales pages builders that allows you to set up as many as 100+ different types of landing pages as you wish. There is no other product that comes close to OptimizePress in terms of features, quality of design or number of templates it comes with.
  • Free templates are excellent and there are many good ones too. Also, the premium templates are very good. Each design looks good on any top tier website and works seamlessly.
  • Ease of use – If you’re comfortable with the WordPress CMS you should be able to get up and running in just a few minutes and publish your first page in a matter of hours. When you become familiar with how it works, the time it takes to go live on a site will shrink dramatically.
  • Plays nicely with many other WordPress plugins – Not just email or membership plugins, but lots of other plugins that many website owners use on their sites. I tested several SEO, Cache, Optimization, Translation, and CRON plugins and did not find a single problem. I’m not saying that every plugin will work, because it won’t, but I have yet to find any that did.
  • Page loading speeds for WordPress 3 were noticeably improved when using OptimizePress 3.0. This is noticeable even without using load testing tools, but is a significant benefit.

Cons

  • When things are good, there is always room for improvement. {It’s good to think that there are better products, and this one is no different.}
  • Even after a few updates to OptimizePress 2.0, the design is beginning to look dated. {Even if you use OptimizePress 2.0, the layout still looks very dated. I wonder if the developer will even try to change the design as it has looked pretty much the same for ages.}
  • It really is amazing how well OptimizePress is built, but there are many other WordPress products that do more for people than this one does. It always seems to be the most recent version of WordPress, but it doesn’t always feel like that.
  • Support seems to be slow – I am lucky enough not to be able to access live support, but many others have commented that the support response time is very slow. It can take a while for support to become aware of a fault with the plugin and fix it. Seems that both the support team and general customer service are limited. If something goes wrong and you don’t get any help from the support team, your options are limited, and that’s not good if you’re on a strict deadline.
  • Live Editor saves files in a non-standard format, which can cause some plugins to not work properly. It means that if you remove the plugin, there is a chance that your website will no longer work if you remove the plugin. {If you know this in advance, it will not affect your site, but if you don’t know this, it could cause problems.}

Price / Value is always important in our reviews, so we look into the different tiers of support that are available for OptimizePress and whether it offers good value for money.

Pricing is a real strength of OptimizePress and it works well for many people.

It costs less than many of its competitors and is more expensive than some other plugins. It is really good value for money for the amount of features it gives you.

There are four pricing options for OptimizePress: Core, Publisher, and Pro. There are three different pricing tiers for OptimizePress – Core, Publisher, and Pro. All three pricing tiers build on each other while increasing in price. It’s a one-time fee that lets you create unlimited pages and get unlimited support and updates. Obviously, if you use the latest version of OptimizePress, the cost should go down per year.

Conclusions

Now we come to the million-dollar question – or rather, it is a question worth ninety-nine dollars if you decide to buy OptimizePress. What Should You Buy With OptimizePress?

I’m not going to tell you what to do, but if I wanted to quickly create landing pages that integrate easily into a membership site, collect and share email addresses easily and work on mobile devices, I would buy OptimizePress.

I’d probably not recommend buying this plugin if I was wanting to create a basic membership site or if I didn’t think it was necessary to use other plugins (like Memberpress or Restrict Content Pro).

Several of the functions in OptimizePress are specifically built around the needs of marketing professionals. If you want to be a better marketer or if you want to improve your marketing skills, OptimizePress can help you.

If you aren’t going in that direction, I would go with another plugin.

It isn’t the newest, it isn’t the most powerful and it doesn’t look very nice on the back end. Some of the usability issues are a little suspect, but if you pay just $99 for a whole year of premium support, I don’t think you’ll have any issues with the plugin. Optimizepress Ubermenu
